Sorry for the slow updates here. I've been dealing with some medical issues lately. I've had a catscan, seen an E.N.T. doctor twice, and visited a new allergist all within a span of about a week's time.
I have had a strange feeling in my throat, like it is blocked, for the past couple of months. The ENT sent me for a catscan and upon review recommended surgery. I have inflammation in my Maxillary Sinus area (see picture) that he feels is going to be recurring because of structural issues.
With that news, I decided to visit a new allergist to get a second opinion on the CT, as well as get retested for allergies. Dr. Hoffman upon review of my medical history and reviewing the CT, feels surgery should be a secondary option at this point. I am scheduled to go back into his office in a couple weeks for more test and will be receiving weekly injections shortly thereafter.
The testing revealed I am extremely allergic to cats, dust, pollen, grasses and weeds. Interesting that my last allergist insisted that I wasn't allergic to cats....
Anyway, hopefully my new treatment course will give me some relief.
