Yeah mon- Day 1

Day 1
Today was crazy. We made it to the Tinsley's house in good shape. They got us to the airport at 11 am for a 1:10 flight. After making it through security we ate a quick lunch right next to our gate. Things were still on track, the plan was working.

We must have been some of the first people at the gate, so I asked the gate attendants if we could board the plane early so that we could stow Jamie's dress in the hanging closet at the front of the plane. "No problem" was the reply.
Boarding started and we got on first, but this plane does not have a hanging closet; it has what amounts to a large milk crate. We were then told that we needed to put it in one of the overheard compartments. Blood began to boil a little.
We finally got settled and some nice people around us helped us get the dress situated on top of other bags, but folded. The flight felt long, but we occupied our time reading books and listening to music.

We finally got through customs and baggage claim and waited for a shuttle to take us to the resort. What we thought based on the travel agent's information was a 30 minute trip was really 2 + hours . That's to go a whopping 58 miles. BTW, gas here is what amounts to $3.40 US. Think about that the next time you want to complain about gas prices!!

After an exhaustive journey, we finally arrive at our resort- this is about 9:00pm local time. Ready to just hit our room and relax was foremost in our minds. We got on a golf cart and were driven out to our cabana-one problem, the key doesn't work. Guy leaves and comes back, still doesn't work. We pile back into a golf cart and drive back to the main house. Chaos. To make a long story short, that cycle repeated itself and finally they knocked on the neighbor's door to unbolt a safety latch the maid left on the door. A long day got longer after that...

We hadn't had anything to eat since our quick lunch at the airport, so we decide to walk down to the 24 hour grille. We settled on hamburgers and fries - it hit the spot. We chatted it up with a Husker who is here getting married as well. We ended it at the grille and headed back to the room to call it a night.(J and M)
